What do we do with the packets?
Although the packet was initially going to count as a completion grade in Vue, with the Governor's declaration in closing schools, we can no longer use the packets at a grade. Although they are not officially graded, completing the packet is an advantage for student academic growth as the packets review important content information.

6th graders: What about Biblionasium?
Please continue to log what you've read in Biblionasium. I will not be assigning a specific challenge for Q4, although I would love to see you continuing to post what you've read during this time. Everyone should have at least three entries from in-class readings for Q3, in addition to the two choice readings though:

Period 2 & 3: The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm, your historical fiction book, and A Long Walk to Water (reflect on how you felt about the process of completing Vlogs on the book).

What about our Vocabulary Project?
Since there will be no way for me to physically see all of the work that you've completed in your folder, I plan to have you select five pages from the project. Take a picture of those pages, and insert those pictures into your Encyclopedia Project. I'll discuss this more once we return to instruction. If you lost your folder or left it at school, please plan on creating five pages either on paper or in PowerPoint. The project requirements page is in OneNote -- Content Library -- Word Study.
What about the Mega Test?
I hope to assign the test at some point in May. Be sure to continue to study all 138 roots using the review page posted in OneNote -- Content Library -- Word Study.
What about the Encyclopedia Project?
We will continue adding to the project you set up in SWAY. Once instruction begins again, we'll be reading some model texts and then adding entries into our SWAY. As you add entries, please remember to use the Brush Strokes and figurative language to develop your written expression. This is a memoir of your year, so I'm sure you'd like to document your experience with our distance learning adventure as well.
